I am currently free-lancing on a variety of projects. Most recently a brand identity, website design and pop-up shop for an online retailer.
Fujishima Design, Ltd.
I managed my own design firm with Kraft Foods, Inc. as my
primary client. Projects included package design for new
products as well as redesign of existing products.
MLR (Murrie, Lienhart, Rysner)
A design firm specializing in consumer package
design and brand development.
As a design director, I was responsible for generating concepts
for a range of clients, managing a design team, preparing and
giving client presentations and budget management for those
accounts. I trained and mentored many junior designers who
were promoted into higher-level positions. I also managed and
art-directed the firm’s promotional photography.
Clients included: Colgate-Palmolive, ConAgra Foods,
Dayton-Hudson Corporation, General Mills, Kaytee,
Kimberly- Clark Corporation, Kraft Foods, Inc., McDonald’s
Corporation and Proctor & Gamble and Quaker.
My work has been recognized by Communication Arts,
Graphic Design USA, Graphis and Print, among others.
I have experience in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
Strengths
As a design director, I understand the big picture, while effectively
managing the crucial details that are vital to the project’s success;
stated objectives drive every aspect of the design.
Interests
While raising my children, I oversaw the design and
renovation of our 100-year-old house which was featured in
Renovation Style magazine. I also taught numerous art
workshops for children aged 3 to 12 as a fundraising volunteer
at my children’s school. I am currently an abstract painter in the
beginning phase of exhibiting and promoting my work.
